Chandra S. Reddy, MD., Joins Suburban Community Hospital

East Norriton, PA (June 1, 2022) – Chandra S. Reddy, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of orthopedic surgery experience, has joined Suburban Community Hospital’s Suburban Medical Group.

Dr. Reddy specializes in the care of the musculoskeletal system, and is fellowship trained in sports medicine with a focus on arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, and ankle. His interests are in providing comprehensive orthopedic care, both operative and non-operative for a variety of orthopedic aliments like arthritis, carpal tunnel, and fractures.

“I believe in providing the best possible care for my patients, and I am excited to bring my experience in orthopedic surgery to Suburban Community Hospital’s orthopedic surgery program,” said Dr. Reddy.

Dr. Reddy comes to Suburban Community Hospital from St. Luke’s Miners Hospital in Coaldale, PA, where he practiced since 2011. He was vice chairman of the Surgery Department at St. Luke’s Miners Campus and was part of the medical executive committee.

Dr. Reddy received his medical degree from Bellary Medical College, in India, completed a general surgery internship at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and a residency at St. Johns Medical College, in Bengaluru, India, and Temple University Hospital, in Philadelphia. He went on to complete his Fellowship at Nirschl-Georgetown University in Sports Medicine, Arlington, VA.

His is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports.

Dr. Reddy has been featured in peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Manipulative Therapeutics, the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine, and the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He was a presenter at the Radiology Society of North America, 84th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago and at the Arthroscopic Association of North America (AANA), where he presented on arthroscopic treatment of glenohumeral arthritis.

Outside of work, Dr. Reddy enjoys traveling with his wife and visiting their two grown children on the West Coast. He also enjoys cooking, watching movies, and reading fiction and non-fiction books. Dr. Reddy is an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and the Phillies.
